Scarlett Lewis spent a few weeks at her mother's house after her son Jesse, 6, was slain in the Dec. 14 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. But "once I got back home, I saw that Jesse had written something before he died," she tells PEOPLE. "It was a message on the chalkboard in the kitchen … He had written the words 'Nurturing Healing Love' ... I felt like it was a message directed to me, for my comfort and inspiration."
