Sure, he's nominated with the rest of the
Desperate Housewives stars in the best ensemble category at the SAG Awards, but
James Denton thinks
Doug Savant deserves his own statuette. "I'll never understand why he doesn't get nominated. Doug's the one who stands out," Denton tells PEOPLE. "I'm not funny on the show. I serve up softballs for
Teri [Hatcher.] Doug, I think, is sort of the comedic anchor of the men [on the show] and I hope he gets some trophies!"
