Speaking on the
Today show via satellite from London, the
Dreamgirls star and just-announced Oscar nominee says: "I'm sitting here in shock right now. I can't believe it. To be able to be here today and be a part of such greatness, there are no words for it. It's hard to even get past this moment right now. I don't want to get to crying, but this is so far beyond anything."
The Globe winner is up for Best Supporting Actress along with
Adriana Barraza (
Babel),
Cate Blanchett (
Notes on a Scandal),
Abigail Breslin (
Little Miss Sunshine) and
Rinko Kikuchi (
Babel).
