WILL WIN: The Fray, "Over My Head (Cable Car)"
SHOULD WIN: Keane (above), "Is It Any Wonder?"
This category is all over the place: Could you have ever possibly imagined that the Black Eyed Peas ("My Humps"), the Pussycat Dolls ("Stickwitu") and Death Cab for Cutie ("I Will Follow You into the Dark") would all be up for the same trophy? Could you have ever possibly imagined that the Pussycat Dolls would be nominated for a Grammy period? (Where was the love for Vanity 6, people?) If there were any justice, Keane would win for the lush pop majesty that was "Is It Any Wonder?" But they weren't all over VH1 and Grey's Anatomy like the Fray, who are up for the even bigger hit. Hey, if they're good enough for Dr. McDreamy, I guess they're good enough for the Academy.
