Take me out ... to eat! Alex Kapranos knows about eating on the run – and we're not just talking about the countless road trips he's undertaken as lead singer of Franz Ferdinand. He also wrote Sound Bites: Eating on Tour, a book about where to nosh, from Brooklyn to Buenos Aires. So we checked in with him to find out where the best post-Grammy grub is:

Satisfy those late-night munchies at: Mel's Drive-In on the Sunset Strip. "It's handy. I like the continuous coffee and I love an American breakfast. There's also an amazing chili burger that's a huge slab of fried meat with even more meat poured over the top of it."
Treat your hangover with: "Fried haggis and Irn-Bru, which is a vivid, incredibly sweet orange soda that kids are brought up on in Scotland. Oh, and potato scones. If you're some extremely demanding rock star, ask the concierge and see if you get it."
