It'll be an Oscar night meal fit for a king (of Scotland): 600 spiny
lobsters, 500 lbs. of organic Valrhona chocolate, 300 lbs. of smoked
wild salmon and 10,000 roses. With Spago chef
Wolfgang Puck catering the Academy's annual Governors Ball after the show for the 13th time,
Forest Whitaker, George Clooney, Kate Winslet and
Helen
Mirren will be dining like Oscar royalty (and not just salivating,
like we are). On the menu: sushi, including spicy tuna, lobster and
avocado, and California rolls; prawns, King Crab legs, oysters and more
fruits de la mer; Kobe beef, risotto and striped bass on the hot buffet;
and for dessert, a gold-dusted chocolate Oscar. But where's the caviar,
you ask? Topping the baked potatoes (just like at Mom's, right?). See the full menu on the Academy's
site.Don't forget! After the Oscars visit People.com for photos of the best dressed, the biggest parties and all the backstage action you couldn't see on TV!
