Don't Be an Oscar-Winning Loser!
Listen up, Jennifer Hudson. You've now got an Oscar in your hand, but what next? For an idea of what not to do, check out Premiere magazine's gallery of the worst-ever post-Oscar career choices. Among the cautionary tales: Cuba Gooding, Jr., who followed up his win for Jerry Maguire with Chill Factor, Snow Dogs and – gulp! – Boat Trip. Helen Hunt also followed up her Oscar (for As Good As It Gets) with a trifecta of clunkers: Pay It Forward, What Women Want and Dr. T and the Women. And of course, Halle Berry, who, fresh from nabbing Best Actress for Monster's Ball, made Catwoman. On purpose. (At least she had a sense of humor about it, and good-naturedly accepted her Razzie Award.) J-Hud, you've been warned!

The Curious Case of the Missing $100,000 Purse
Is Cate Blanchett the victim of some fashion foul play? The actress was set to carry a $100,000 Lana Marks purse on the red carpet, but the bag mysteriously went missing from her hotel room the day before the Oscars. While the New York Daily News is speculating that it could be the result of a secret plot, a Lana Marks Company spokesperson had no comment on the circumstances. The customized Cleopatra clutch, made of black alligator, has an 18-karat white-gold frame and is adorned with white diamonds. The entire front flap of the handbag is pavéd with 35 carats of black diamonds. "We are devastated by the loss of this handbag and request that anyone who has information regarding its whereabouts please step forward and contact the Los Angeles Police Department," the rep tells PEOPLE. (We'll let you make your own fashion police joke now.)

Seinfeld: Master of the Oscar Domain?
Despite wide speculation, Jerry Seinfeld isn't looking to be the host of next year's Oscars – not that there's anything wrong with that. The comic is focusing work on his new animated flick Bee Movie, his rep told the New York Daily News. Seinfeld's hoping the movie will get a nod for Best Animated Picture, and you can't host and win. But the Academy shouldn't be so quick to replace Ellen DeGeneres: Last Sunday, 39.9 million viewers watched the show – that's 1 million more people than last year. She also brought in 15 percent more female viewers. But you tell us: Which potential host (and comedian) do you think is most Oscar-worthy?

Anne Hathaway & Tracey Edmonds Show Off For Charity
As if the Oscars weren't reason enough to get glammed up, Anne Hathaway and Eddie Murphy's girlfriend Tracey Edmonds got red-carpet gorgeous for charity! While prepping for the big night, the two ladies documented everything: the good (those dresses!) and the bad (hair in rollers!). They snapped these pics for the charity Clothes Off Our Back. Founded by Jane Kaczmarek and her husband Bradley Whitford, the organization hosts auctions of celebrity clothing to benefit children's charities. Current auctions will support the ChildrenÂ’s Defense Fund – working to reduce the amount of sick and neglected children domestically – and Cure Autism Now, as well as the emergency relief efforts in Darfur. Check out PEOPLE's exclusive pics of Hathaway and Edmonds, and find out what it really takes to sparkle on the red carpet.

What Helen Mirren Didn't Have on Under Her Dress
Those rumors that Helen Mirren went commando at the Academy Awards are false – well, sort of. While chatting on The Oprah Winfrey show, the Best Actress winner brought out the custom-made Christian Lacroix gown she wore to the Oscars. "You look at the inside of this dress," Mirren said, showing off the boning and built-in bra. "It was all made for me, so I didn't have to have any underwear – well I mean, I did have underwear!" But up in Cleavagetown, it was a different story: Clutching her bosom, Mirren explained to Winfrey, "It held me like two angel's hands." Sure, it's not the first time we've seen her show off the goods (remember the Golden Globes?) Let's just hope she keeps 'em covered for her tea with the Queen.

Eddie Murphy Not a Sore Loser?
Eddie Murphy left his seat at the Kodak Theatre after losing the Best Supporting Actor Oscar (for Dreamgirls) to Little Miss Sunshine's Alan Arkin – but his rep says the comedian would have done the same thing even if he'd won.
"Eddie had always planned on leaving after his category was announced to spend the rest of the evening with his family," says rep Arnold Robinson, adding, "He did the same thing following the Golden Globe Awards." (Murphy did win at the Globes.)
Reports that Murphy stormed out of the auditorium after losing circulated widely on the Internet after the show. Both Page Six and TMZ.com report that star was being "a sore loser" after the upset. (Murphy was considered by many to be the favorite to win the category.)
