America Ferrera Is All Thanked Out

Helen Mirren is going to need a bigger mantel: The Golden Globe winner was named best actress in a TV movie/miniseries for Elizabeth I.

Her Elizabeth I costar Jeremy Irons won best actor in a TV movie/miniseries, but told the audience, "Whenever I start a job, (I) feel like a plumber."

Where Would Will Be Without Jada?

When Will Smith accepted his big honor (the modern master award) from presenter Tom Cruise at the Santa Barbara Film Festival this weekend, the Pursuit of Happyness star and SAG nominee took something extra with him onstage at the Arlington Theater – a big piece of tape stuck to the bottom of his shoe. Good thing wife and "good luck charm" Jada was there to take control of the situation: As Smith's shoe was magnified on a screen and the audience snickered, she rose from her seat, strode across the stage without saying a word (Smith asked, "What's wrong, baby?") and, in her lacy, black, knee-length dress, squatted in front of him and ripped off the tape. Then she left the way she came: silently. Hey, at least it wasn't toilet paper!

Predict-a-Gown: What Will Cate Wear?

Maybe Katie Holmes knows – she was seated next to the Notes on a Scandal star at the Armani Prive show in Paris this week – but till Sunday night we'll have to do with guessing, and some dream dressing. So what do we want to see nominee Cate Blanchett wear to the Screen Actors Guild Awards – or even the Oscars? Here are some picks from PEOPLE's StyleWatch team:

• If she goes with Armani, it wouldn't be surprising to see something like the couture gray-beaded dress off the runway (above).
• This tiered Christian Dior ball gown would be total high drama.
• A canary chiffon Lacroix would be bold.
• And this metallic Elie Saab would look great against her pale complexion.

Tell us: What do you want to see her wear?
