Downey reprises his superhero role for Iron Man 2, which tops the box office opening weekend with $128 million. "The last time around, Tony Stark was a significantly cooler version of me," he tells EW of the blockbuster sequel. "In a way, my calling in this one was to bring more of myself into it and more of my character defects."

A Baby Boy!
February 7, 2012 Downey and his wife of nearly seven years, Susan, welcome their first child together, a son named Exton Elias. The baby boy joins big brother, 18-year-old Indio, Downey's son from his first marriage.
