  1. What is the PEOPLE Royals App?

    The PEOPLE Royals app is PEOPLE's first stand-alone iPad app based on one of their popular books, The Royals: Their Lives, Loves and Secrets. It is sold separately from the weekly iPad edition available within the PEOPLE Magazine app. If you are having a technical problem with The Royals iPad app or have any other questions, please contact ipadsupport@peoplemag.com.

  3. What is included with the free app downloaded from the app store?

    This app gives you the ability to purchase each week's digital issue through iTunes and to read and store as many digital issues as you'd like within the same app. Current magazine subscribers can also add the iPad edition FREE for the length of your current print subscription term.

  4. How do I get an issue of PEOPLE Magazine in the app?

    You can purchase single digital issues of PEOPLE Magazine within the app for $3.99 each or if you're an existing print subscriber you can also add the iPad edition FREE for the length of your current print subscription term.

  5. Why won't my PEOPLE Magazine iPad Edition Download?

    Since the average PEOPLE iPad Edition is 400MG, it can take 20 minutes or longer to download depending on your Wi-Fi Internet connection. We recommend not using a 3G connection as it will take over an hour and may timeout causing you to start the download over again.

    For best results, please disable your iPad's Auto Lock function while downloading your issue. If your iPad goes to "Sleep" during a download, it will not resume the download until it is no longer "Sleeping." If this happens, the download will continue from the spot where it was before the iPad was in "Sleep" mode. Please keep in mind that a constant and strong Internet Connection is best. Also, if the internet connection is lost, the download will need to be started over

  6. How can I delete an issue?

    You can delete the issue by going to your library where all of your PEOPLE magazine iPad editions will be located. There you simply touch and hold the issue you want to delete until an "x" comes up in the left hand corner. Tap the "x" and your issue will be deleted from your library. If you're a subscriber, the cover image of your deleted subscription issue will still appear in the library. To re-download a previously deleted issue, simply tap the download button that appears on top of the cover. If you purchased a single copy, the deleted issue will no longer appear in your library. To re-download a previously purchased deleted issue, return to the store, find the issue you'd like to re-download and tap the buy button. You will be prompted to confirm your purchase and then immediately prompted to download again for free. (Deleting magazine issues will free-up storage space on your iPad)

  7. Will deleting an issue free up storage space on my iPad?

    Yes and you can access it again at any time by re-downloading the issue, free of charge.

  8. Why is it taking so long to sync or back up my iPad?

    Each issue of PEOPLE is fairly large and can add noticeable time to your iPad syncing or backing up. To avoid this you can either delete the issue prior to backing up or you can manually cancel the backup process from happening at the start of the iPad sync process. If you only want to sync your iPad you can continue to do that after you cancel the backup process. You can delete an issue by going to your Library where all of your PEOPLE iPad Editions are located. Simply touch and hold the issue you want to delete until an "x" appears in the left hand corner of the cover image. Tap the "x" and your issue will be deleted from your library.


    Subscribers:
    The cover image of your deleted subscription issue will still appear in the library. If you would like to re-read your issue simply tap the 'Download' button that appears on top of the cover image in the Library.


    Single Copy Purchasers:
    The deleted issue will no longer appear in your library. Not to worry though, you can re-download any issues that you've deleted from your iPad at no additional charge. To re-download a previously purchased issue that has been deleted, return to the store, find the issue you'd like to re-download and tap the 'Buy' button. You will be prompted to confirm your purchase and then immediately prompted to download again for free.

  9. What is included with the $3.99 digital issue purchase?

    The app includes the current print issue of PEOPLE magazine (the same day it is available on newsstands) plus bonus star tracks pics and iPad only galleries, exclusive, behind-the-scenes, celebrity videos, hot movie trailers, TV previews song samples and more!

  10. Does the app update with a new issue each week?

    You will receive a notification each week when the new issue is available. In order to read the new issue you must purchase a single copy within the app or subscribers can download the new issue each week for free.

  11. Can I buy a subscription to PEOPLE magazine on the iPad?

    Currently our existing print subscribers can add the iPad addition for the length of your current subscription term for FREE.

  12. Can I buy a subscription only for the iPad?

    At this time the only way you can subscribe to the iPad edition is by being a current subscriber to the print magazine.

  13. I am a magazine subscriber. Can I get the digital issues as part of my subscription?

    Yes at no extra charge. Please visit https://secure.customersvc.com/wes/servlet/Show to add the PEOPLE iPad App for the length of your current print subscription term or call 1-866-769-0199.

  14. Does the weekly issue expire?

    No. Once you purchase the issue, it's yours to keep.

  15. Can I share the digital issue with friends?

    Sorry, there are currently no sharing options available.

  16. Will the magazine content update with the new issue on the app every week?

    You will receive a notification each week when the new issue is available. In order to read the new issue you must purchase a single copy within the app or subscribers can download the new issue each week for free.

  17. Can I buy a new issue each week within the current app?

    Yes in-app purchasing available. You can purchase new issues within the same app and store issues in a library within the app. Current subscribers can download the new issue each week for free.
