Get the recipe! American Hustle's Icy Hot Whiskey Martini
Nobody's rocking leisure suits anymore, but the casinos of Atlantic City – where Christian Bale donned some horrific late '70s attire in this Best Picture nominee – are still serving up plenty of style. Old Homestead Steakhouse at A.C.'s Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa whipped up this cocktail for PEOPLE, calling it "a tribute to the brazen schemes and ravenous greed of the characters." The con job starts with the drink's initial sweetness. "By the time you realize it's spicy and hot, it's too late."

"I'm not gonna drop the F-bomb like she did. I've done that plenty before."
– The Fighter's Christian Bale, referencing foul-mouthed costar Melissa Leo's Oscar acceptance speech along with his own infamous rant, while accepting the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor
The notoriously private Christian Bale took a moment during his Best Supporting Actor acceptance speech at this year's Oscars to pay tribute to his wife of 11 years, whom he met on the set of 1994's Little Women, when she served as a personal assistant to costar Winona Ryder. "My wonderful wife who is my mast through the storms of life, I hope I'm likewise to you, darling," the emotional Bale said from the podium.
The Fighter stars Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale get their punches in at the Jan. 11 National Board of Review bash, teaming up with director David O. Russell. Their drama was named one of the year's top ten films, with Bale earning accolades for his supporting role in the film.
BATMAN GOES BAT-#!&*
In a nearly 4-minute rant recorded on the set of his movie, Terminator Salvation, Christian Bale drops the F-bomb a reported 36 times. The actor, who verbally attacked the film's director of photography for entering his sight lines, later calls his behavior "inexcusable" and "deeply embarrassing."
AT ARM'S LENGTH
A casually dressed Christian Bale stays connected with wife Sibi after lunching Tuesday at Italian eatery Sor Tino in Brentwood, Calif. Michael Caine, the actor's Dark Knight costar, recently commented on Bale's profanity-laced tirade on the Terminator: Salvation set, saying it was "completely out of character" for the star.
HOLY GLAMOUR, BATMAN!
Christian Bale trades his bat suit for a more conventional (and chic) one for the world premiere of The Dark Knight Monday at New York's AMC Loews Lincoln Square, where he posed with costars Gary Oldman and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
Christian Bale and Russell Crowe size each other up at the Los Angeles premiere of their film, 3:10 to Yuma, on Tuesday. Of working on the western with his Welsh-born costar, Crowe said, "it was just fun man, all the way through."
The Caped Crusader always wears his trademark breastplate, utility belt and mask (complete with ears!) to save the residents of Gotham from evildoers. But for the premiere of Batman Begins, Bale sported chin scruff you'd never see on Bruce Wayne.
UP TO BAT
Taking a break from Cruise's embrace, Holmes joins castmates (from left) Gary Oldman, Michael Caine, Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman and Liam Neeson on the red carpet. Batman Begins opens June 15.
CHRISTIAN & SIBI BALE
The American Hustle star didn't win Best Actor, but the actor had other news to celebrate at the Academy Awards: He and his wife, who debuted her bump on the red carpet, are expecting their second child this year. The couple are already parents to a 9-year-old daughter.
