EXPIRES: LABOR DAY
The shade that reminds us of sorbet won't keep much longer than the frozen treat. LeAnn Rimes knows the hue is huge right now, but if she's smart, she'll replace it with richer colors (like burgundy and forest green) once the season changes.
Readers couldn't handle the singer's latest hairstyle, and she must have heard you. LeAnn keeps her blonde locks loose while sporting a beaded Reve by Khushali Kumar mini with stappy stilettos and diamond earrings by Blue Candy Jewelry at the Grammy Foundation's Play It Forward event in L.A.
Rimes knew she wanted a fleur-de-lis incorporated into her ring, which she received in December 2010, but let now-husband Eddie Cibrian lay out the rest of the sparkler, which includes single-cut pavé and rose-cut diamonds that give the central 5-carat oval-cut gem an antique feel.
ON THE EDGE
Keeping in line with the heaven and hell themes, vases of purple orchids and white blooms (along with rhinestone skulls) serve as the décor centerpieces scattered throughout the soirée designed by events firm R. Jack Balthazar.
PIECE OF CAKE
Make a wish! Rimes takes a deep breath as she blows out the candles on her personalized cake from Sweet & Saucy – featuring a look-alike topper stomping on a coffin! "We laugh so hard all the time because people have this obsession with me in a bikini," she tells PEOPLE. "I've always said, 'I'm on the beach, what am I supposed to wear?'"
Enjoying the surf and sun, the birthday girl, born Aug. 28, soaks up the last days of summer with 20 of her closest friends. "I have a beautiful life. I am lucky," she says.
ANGEL IN AMERICA
At her party, Rimes adds an angelic touch to the open bar (featuring Don Julio tequila) with angel wings and birdcages. The singer wanted to say goodbye to 29 years of feeling caged and embrace her new decade of freedom. "I think there's something that happens to women when you turn 30, that you enter into being a true woman," she says.
"I had so many amazing things happen in my 20s, and I also had a lot of hard lessons to learn. I'm ready to put those lessons into play," LeAnn Rimes, who marked her milestone with an Aug. 18 "Die, 20s, Die"-themed party in Laguna Beach, Calif., tells PEOPLE.
Paying tribute to her roots, the country crooner (who is preparing to release her latest album, Spitfire) incorporates her Southern charm into customized "Hell in a Handbasket" bottles, encouraging guests to reveal their sins after making a wish. "I wasn't so sure that people would confess anything!" she says. "Whoever was up at the end of the night shared what they wrote."
The singer bundled up during a trek on the water, Tweeting, "I know it summer but its still cold on the boat."

LEANN, DEAN, EDDIE & BRANDI
The rumors: Not long after married country star LeAnn Rimes began filming the 2008 Lifetime movie Northern Lights with married actor Eddie Cibrian, stories circulated that the two were having an on-set affair.
The aftermath: Rimes and Cibrian both ended their marriages (hers to dancer Dean Sheremet and his to Brandi Glanville of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) and eventually wed each other. Later, Rimes publicly bore the blame for hurting people, but added, "I don't regret the outcome."
LEANN RIMES & EDDIE CIBRIAN
If it seems like the country singer and her actor hubby, spotted here in Cabo San Lucas, spend their entire relationship beachside in swimwear, that's because, well, they do. (Proof here, here, here and here.) Though can you really blame 'em considering those hot bods?
LEANN RIMES NEEDS KNEADING
On a recent stay at the Hacienda Beach Club & Residences in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the singer and her husband, Eddie Cibrian, indulged in a two-hour Hacienda Signature Ritual massage that starts with a foot cleanse and is followed by exfoliation and a massage using herbal compresses, carrying a $250 price tag.
