JACKETS LONGER THAN YOUR SHORTS
It might look like Rihanna is wearing her mod Moschino coat sans pants, but there are actually teeny shorts under there. We're pretty sure this look only works if you're a rockstar (or have the legs of a rockstar). RiRi, of course, checks both boxes.
THE OFF-THE-SHOULDER JACKET
Obviously Rihanna isn't going to adhere to the standard fashionista jacket-drape, nor is she going to pull something out of the back of her closet for Fashion Week. This out-of-the-box Julia Seamann ensemble debuted on the runway the night before she wore it to Kanye West's Adidas show.

NEW BALANCE SNEAKERS
Not everyone can pull off matching her lip to her dress (this one's Zac Posen) to her stunning Chopard jewels (seriously: check this necklace out), but for the singer, who hosted the first ever Diamond Ball to benefit the Clara Lionel Foundation in Beverly Hills, breaking fashion rules and looking glam is the norm.
The only difference between the singer's bikini (worn in St. Barth's) and your beachside apparel of choice? She teams hers with zillions of dollars worth of bling.
Rihanna is certainly no stranger to a bikini, but she looks particularly amazing in this black strappy two-piece while snorkeling in Barbados.
We had a feeling the hair chameleon's gray moment wouln't last long. RiRi went back to brunette and lost some serious length, debuting a short chop, which showcases her natural curls. “Still tryna get used to my hurr," she shared on Instagram.
You already know that '90s style is back in a big way, but until this moment, you probably didn’t realize that '90s workout style was making a resurgence, too. RiRi channels TLC and reps the U.S.A. in sporty spandex separates. (And by the way, yes, she wore these on a Thursday. How #TBT of her.)
RIHANNA DROPS 'BBHMM' VIDEO, TERRIFIES US ALL
We definitely shouldn't be surprised that Rihanna's video for expletive-laden "B---- Better Have My Money" is NSFW, but we were – the seven-minute-long mini movie manages to pack in lots and lots of torture, drugs, violence, nudity and blood. Damn.
Proving that "gorgeous" doesn’t mean skin and bones, the Good Girl Gone Bad singer gave her fans more than a glimpse of her natural beauty while visiting her native Barbados in 2007 (right). Today she’s just as comfortable – and just as beautiful – frolicking on the sand in a skimpy string bikini (left) that proudly displays her numerous tattoos.

in an Adam Selman bow polo dress with matching cardigan, emerald suede heels over socks and sparkly hoops for the Home press junket in N.Y..C.
The Rihanna who wears stuff like this to run errands obviously wasn't going to accept the Fashion Icon honor in any old dress. So she had Adam Selman custom-make her a totally sheer, Swarovski crystal-encrusted gown for the occasion. And since she'd already broken that barrier, Rih had to continue to push the style envelope even further – in looks like this pastie-embellished Tom Ford nightie, worn to an amfAR event.
Rihanna is clearly less interested than Taylor in making her admirers' wildest dreams come true. When a "huge fan" commented on one of the singer's posts about her experience with bullying, in the hopes that the star would take him to prom if he got 100,000 re-Tweets on Twitter, she simply responded: "no." At least he got some punctuation?
THE MARIE ANTOINETTE
These Manolo Blahnik bow-embellished pumps (which perfectly match Rihanna's bow-covered Adam Selman design) look like they should be on display at Versailles.

ZAC POSEN FRONT ROW
After getting in face time (and we do mean face time – there were lots of smooches) with the designer backstage, Katie Holmes, Mary J. Blige and Rihanna took their seats for a characteristically dramatic show.
On anyone else, this gown would be 100 percent Crazy Town U.S.A. On Rihanna, though, it's a Major Fashion Moment. "I saw this dress on the internet and I just fell in love with it," she told Ryan Seacrest of the Giambattista Valli Haute Couture ball gown (with Chopard jewels) that, in the words of one editor, made her look like "a really chic marshmallow Peep."
Rihanna's explanation for the tattoo is particularly sentimental: It's in part an homage to her late grandmother, who died in 2012 after battling cancer. "Goddess Isis- Complete Woman - Model for future generations- #GRANGRANDOLLY - always in and on my heart #1love," she shared.

What we do know about this outfit is that Rihanna is wearing a color-block, sequined Moschino coat with a fur trim, and some killer gold accessories, including Neil Lane jewels and Christian Louboutin heels. What we don’t know is whether the risk-taker managed to put on anything else for the Daily Front Row Fashion awards show in West Hollywood. But really, does it matter?
RIHANNA'S DARK-DENIM FLARES
RIHANNA AND MILEY CYRUS
Both pop stars are no strangers to showing skin in creative ways. But at the amfAR gala in L.A., the singers (who both wore Tom Ford) took their NSFW-styles to a whole new naked level.
ROSIE VS. RIHANNA
Designer Tom Ford recently revealed that the pasties in his latest collection (as seen on this white gown) were inspired by "very young women who have the bodies to pull it off." Clearly, both Rosie (at a photoshoot) and Rihanna (on the red carpet) meet this description.

Do you think the singer sits around before events and is like, "How can I top this crazy Tom Ford … or my totally see-through Adam Selman?" We do, because she's coming close to dismantling them both as our fave wild RiRi getup at the British Fashion Awards in London in this Stella McCartney coat and stockings.
