Tabloid Scandal

Rebecca Loos, Beckham's former personal assistant, claims to have had an affair with Beckham. Although Beckham denies all allegations, calling them "ludicrous," the British tabloids dedicate several pages to the scandal, tarnishing the couples' image. A week later, a string of women present their own stories (and racy text messages) to the tabloids of their respective affairs with the soccer star. "The simple truth is that I am very happily married, have a wonderful wife and two very special kids," Beckham says in a statement. "They were the paradigm of a golden couple, and now everyone's saying they're not so golden after all," a friend says to PEOPLE. "But Victoria wants to stay married to David. She loves him deeply."

This venture includes an 11-in. miniskirt so short, you have to "be careful how you get in and out of cars," Posh tells PEOPLE. In 2006, she also releases a line of sunglasses, a his-and-her fragrance line called "Intimately Beckham," and designs her own jean collection called dVb denim.

Cruzing to Three

Posh and David welcome Cruz David to their family. He is born via Caesarean section in Madrid, and immediately causes a stir like a true Beckham. Cruz, which is traditionally a girl's name, warrants the Guardian to ask: "Trend-setting moniker or crashing blunder by Posh and Becks?" Baby Cruz joins big brothers Brooklyn, 6, and Romeo, 2.

The Spice Girls Reunite

Posh once told the Sunday Mirror, "I'm never going to sing again, unless it was a chance to do something with the Spice Girls." And the time has come. The pop girl group announces plans to release a greatest-hits album and an 11-show world tour in December. "We are going to celebrate the past, do a small tour and that will probably be it," Beckham says. "Our priority is our families." In December, the band kicks off their world tour in Vancouver.

The Couture-Clad Spice Mum

After being named the next face of Marc Jacobs, Posh appears on the cover of Elle, where she discusses being a mom, singing ("I'm no Mariah Carey, but I can sing"), and touring as a Spice Girl. "I wanted my children to see that Mummy was a pop star," she says. "It was the last opportunity for them to stand in a crowd full of people screaming for the Spice Girls." In late February 2008, the Spice Girls bid a final farewell to cap the conclusion of their successful reunion tour.
